Maori Cultural and Heritage Centre in Opononi, Hokianga dedicated to the celebration and narration of 1000 years of human occupation in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Designed in close partnership with local Iwi, the centre explores the first seven “steps” of human occupation of New Zealand, tracing Aotearoa’s cultural history from the founding footsteps of Kupe to the evolution and establishment of Maori civilization.
